Trent Tholen has worked in the private, educational, and government sectors. He specializes in electrical code, safety, machinery, power systems, and power quality analysis. He has taught the National Electrical Code, electrical safety, and power quality analysis for Utah licensed electricians and federal government employees. He has also taught power systems at Weber State University in the electrical engineering program.

He has a broad scope of experience, ranging from providing electrical design drawings for commercial facilities to rewinding and reconditioning electric machinery up to 8500 HP. Mr. Tholen has extensive experience in the reliability maintenance of industrial plant equipment. Mr. Tholen is also a principal committee member of NFPA 77, Recommended Practice on Static Electricity.

To provide the most accurate design services possible, Mr. Tholen uses computer design software to provide real-time and future planning services for industrial and commercial facility electrical distribution, including protection and coordination, load flow, voltage balance, short circuit, and arc flash analyses. Throughout his career, Mr. Tholen has worked in all aspects of electrical engineering projects for the government, commercial, and industrial sectors. His experience includes the following:

Mr. Tholen has extensive experience in safety programs based on NFPA 70E, NEC, and OSHA 1910 to ensure electrical safety is followed in the workplace. Additionally, he has experience with electrical equipment design and maintenance. He has extensive knowledge of the use of electrical equipment in NEC Class I and Class II hazardous environments. This experience, coupled with workplace safety, allows him to easily identify and investigate the causes and origins of electrical incidents.
